Volleyball Recap: Lynbrook Takes a Loss

Lynbrook was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homestead Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, with their most recent loss being a 2-0 defeat last Saturday.

Lynbrook was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Homestead work for it, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 23-25, 27-25, 25-21.

Lynbrook's loss dropped their record down to 12-16. As for Homestead, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-10 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lynbrook will challenge rival Monta Vista at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Homestead is set to take on their familiar foe Cupertino at 6:45 p.m. on Monday.
