Preview: Huntingtown Hurricanes vs. North Point Eagles
Huntingtown is 0-8 against North Point since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Huntingtown Hurricanes will head out on the road to take on the North Point Eagles at 7:00 p.m.
Last Wednesday, Huntingtown was the victim of a rough 62-40 loss at the hands of St. Charles. Huntingtown has not had much luck with St. Charles recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Meanwhile, North Point entered their tilt with McDonough with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. North Point had just enough and edged McDonough out 47-44.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead North Point to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landhn Mathis, who scored 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Greene, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.
Huntingtown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for North Point, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Huntingtown was taken down by North Point 69-37 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Huntingtown avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
