Soccer Game Preview: Palisade vs. Montrose

For the first time this season, Palisade will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Tuesday. They will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against the Montrose Red Hawks at 5:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Palisade is coming home in high spirits after they had to open their season on the road against Glenwood Springs. Palisade's defense stepped up to hand Glenwood Springs a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Demons recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Palisade hit Glenwood Springs with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ryan Pomeroy, Lizzie Snover, and Keylei Dobransky.

Meanwhile, Montrose gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They blew past Glenwood Springs 3-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Red Hawks were the better team in the second half.
