Basketball Recap: Chinquapin Prep Takes a Loss

Chinquapin Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Brazosport Christian Eagles, falling 55-26. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Burrs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-26 last Thursday.

It was another big night for Tyson Sullivan, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 boards for Brazosport Christian. Sullivan has become a key player for Brazosport Christian: the team is 8-3 when he posts at least eight rebounds, but 5-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was James Moore, who posted eight points and ten boards.

Chinquapin Prep's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Brazosport Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-9.

Chinquapin Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Brazosport Christian, they will take on Briarwood at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Brazosport Christian is facing Briarwood at the right time seeing as Briarwood is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
