Basketball Recap: Tori Ambroselli's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Centennial over Jasper County

After flying high against Alpharetta last Saturday, Centennial came back down to earth. The Centennial Knights fell 50-38 to the Jasper County Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Centennial's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tori Ambroselli, who posted 13 points. Desiree Stamps was another key player, putting up nine points.

Centennial dropped their record down to 1-9 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Jasper County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will venture away from home to square off against Lassiter at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Jasper County, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mary Persons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
