Baseball Game Preview: Weldon Chargers vs. Southeast Halifax Trojans

The Weldon Chargers will square off against the Southeast Halifax Trojans at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Weldon fell victim to Wilson Prep and their airtight pitching crew last Friday. They came up short against the Tigers, falling 12-0. The Chargers have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Meanwhile, Southeast Halifax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 19-11 to Northwest Halifax. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly eight runs.

Arthur Joseph Jr. made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was James Bullock, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Weldon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Southeast Halifax, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
