Softball Recap: El Camino Wildcats vs. Carlsbad Lancers

El Camino fell victim to Carlsbad and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Carlsbad Lancers. El Camino has not had much luck with Carlsbad recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

For Carlsbad's part, Aubrey Tamayo was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Tamayo has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in eight consecutive pitching appearances. Tamayo was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, Stella Roller was incredible, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Emerson Jarrard was another key contributor, going 2-for-4 with two runs and a triple.
