After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Onalaska, New Waverly was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Trinity Tigers by a score of 51-43. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in January, they had to take a 55-43 loss.

New Waverly's victory bumped their record up to 11-16. As for Trinity, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 17-10 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Waverly will face off against Anderson-Shiro at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Anderson-Shiro's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests. As for Trinity, they will challenge Crockett at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Crockett will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something Trinity surely won't give up without a fight.
