Grants won the last time they faced Gallup, and Mariah Melonas did her part to make sure it happened again. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bengals on Saturday thanks in part to Melonas, who had 21 digs and two assists. Melonas is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season.

The victory got Grants back to even at 5-5. As for Gallup, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Grants has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Espanola Valley on the 13th. As for Gallup, they will challenge Farmington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scorpions will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Bengals surely won't give up without a fight.
