Softball Game Preview: Madison Bobcats vs. Thunder Ridge Titans

The Madison Bobcats will square off against the Thunder Ridge Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Madison has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 21.

Madison fell victim to Highland and their airtight pitching crew last Wednesday. They lost 20-0 to the Rams. That's two games in a row now that the Bobcats have lost by exactly 20 runs.

Meanwhile, Thunder Ridge faced Highland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Neither the Titans nor the Rams could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 10-10 draw.

Carly Jones (2026) spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and seven unearned) runs on six hits and racked up eight Ks.

Madison's loss dropped their record down to 1-12. Thunder Ridge's draw makes their record 7-7-1 this season.

Madison came out on top in a nail-biter against Thunder Ridge when the teams last played back in May of 2025, sneaking past 12-11. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Titans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
