Baseball Game Preview: Fountain Central Mustangs vs. Parke Heritage Wolves

Fountain Central hasn't had much luck against Parke Heritage recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Mustangs will welcome the Wolves at 11:00 a.m.

North Putnam hit Fountain Central with a four-run fourth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Mustangs fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 7-6.

Meanwhile, Parke Heritage entered their tilt with South Putnam on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 12-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won seven matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Parke Heritage got a massive performance out of Lewie Woody, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, and one triple. The Wolves are undefeated when Woody posts two or more runs, but 5-8 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Renn Harper, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

Fountain Central's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Parke Heritage, their win bumped their record up to 12-8.
