Baseball Game Preview: Montgomery Central Timberwolves vs. North Davidson Black Knights

Montgomery Central hasn't had much luck against North Davidson recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Montgomery Central Timberwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Davidson Black Knights at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Montgomery Central has four straight wins, North Davidson has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

While Montgomery Central didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Anson by a score of 9-4 on Thursday.

Meanwhile, North Davidson scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 10-6 to Alexander Central. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since March 16, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Montgomery Central's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for North Davidson, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Montgomery Central might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from North Davidson in their previous meeting back in March of 2024. Can Montgomery Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
