Recap: Randall Raiders vs. Burkburnett Bulldogs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Randall Raiders had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past Burkburnett 48-21 at home. Considering Randall has won four matchups by more than 26 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Randall to victory were Dylan Ray and Tryston Sanchez. Ray rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries, while Sanchez rushed for 136 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. Sanchez was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. Collin Miller was another key contributor, picking up 161 receiving yards and a touchdown.

Despite the loss, Burkburnett still got an impressive performance from Kyler Kirkland, who rushed for 146 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.

Randall pushed their record up to 7-4 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 41.3 points per game. As for Burkburnett, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-8.

Randall will head out on the road to face off against Brownwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brownwood will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. Burkburnett does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
