East Troy hadn't done well against Jefferson recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Trojans narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 6-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since May 15, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kellen Pluess, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Beaver, who went 2-for-4 with two runs.

East Troy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Jefferson, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East Troy will host Catholic Central at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Hilltoppers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.71 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Jefferson, they will be playing at home against Lakeside Lutheran at 4:45 p.m. on Friday.
