Softball Recap: Amphitheater Takes a Loss

Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Douglas Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Tuesday.

Isabella Espinoza made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Amphitheater's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Douglas, they pushed their record up to 21-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Amphitheater didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 15-0 defeat against Sahuarita on the 21st. As for Douglas, they have also already played their next game, a 14-0 victory against Cholla on the 21st.
