Union County posted their closest victory since April 28, 2025 on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the Chapman Panthers. The victory continues a trend for the Yellowjackets in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won nine in a row.

Union County's win bumped their record up to 9-6. As for Chapman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-12.

Looking ahead, Union County is taking a road trip to take on Clover at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Yellowjackets 2.5, the Eagles 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Chapman, they will challenge Woodruff at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
