Softball Recap: Doniphan West Mustangs vs. Onaga Buffaloes
After flying high against Onaga on Monday, Doniphan West came back down to earth. Doniphan West fell just short of Onaga by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Mustangs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Buffaloes earlier this season, when they won 9-1.
Clara Feighner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up six Ks.
On the hitting side, Brennah Edie made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double.
