Baseball Recap: Tabernacle Takes a Loss

If Tabernacle was feeling good fresh off their 23-7 takedown of Clay County Christian Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Torches fell just short of the Tuscaloosa Christian Warriors by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Torches of the 6-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2022.

Tabernacle's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Tabernacle will venture away from home to face off against Cornerstone Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Torches' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 14.9 runs per game this season. As for Tuscaloosa Christian, they will welcome Eastwood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
