Georgetown Day faced Georgetown Visitation Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Mighty Hoppers put the hurt on the Cubs with a sharp 3-0 victory. The win was familiar territory for the Mighty Hoppers, who have now won six matches in a row.

Georgetown Day was especially dominant in the first set. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-20, 25-20.

Georgetown Day was led to victory by Ella Higday and Charlie Haft. Higday had eight digs and two aces, while Haft had six digs and three aces. Those six digs gave Haft a new career-high.

They weren't the only good servers: Georgetown Day was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 11 aces in six consecutive matchups.
