Basketball Game Preview: Exeter Township Eagles vs. Greater Latrobe Wildcats

The Exeter Township Eagles will challenge the Greater Latrobe Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Exeter Township is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Hershey just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 69-49 to the Trojans. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 182nd, while the Trojans are ranked 40th).

Meanwhile, Greater Latrobe and Uniontown squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Greater Latrobe had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 69-38 loss at the hands of the Red Raiders. The game marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Greater Latrobe's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 20-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.7 points over those games. As for Exeter Township, their loss dropped their record down to 15-12.
