After a string of nine wins, Georgetown's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Weiss Wolves by a score of 7-6. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wolves earlier this season, when they won 13-4.

Georgetown's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 18-9-1. As for Weiss, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Coincidentally, Georgetown and Weiss will both be playing Dripping Springs the next time they take the field. The Wolves will head out to face the Tigers at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
