Softball Recap: Little Miami Has No Trouble Against Carlisle

The Little Miami Panthers made easy work of the Carlisle Indians on Thursday and carried off a 14-3 win. The result was nothing new for the Panthers, who have now won four games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Bella Houillion and Ashleigh Meece did most of the damage at the plate: Houillion went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Meece went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most hits Meece has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bella Haines, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only one making solid contact: Little Miami kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Little Miami and bumps their season record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 4 runs in those games. As for Carlisle, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Little Miami will host Western Brown at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 3.5, the Broncos 2.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Carlisle, they will welcome Oakwood at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
