Basketball Recap: Chaparral Starts Season with Win Against Lewis-Palmer + How To Watch

Chaparral gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Lewis-Palmer Rangers by a score of 58-45. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Luke Howery was a one-man wrecking crew as he dropped a double-double with 27 points and 16 rebounds. Those 16 boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Christian Williams, who posted 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Lewis-Palmer lost, don't look at Jonas Miller. Despite the final result, he put up 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Mindrup, who had five points.

Looking ahead, Chaparral will challenge Overland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lewis-Palmer, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 84-67 loss against Regis Jesuit on the 4th.
