Basketball Recap: Davison Takes a Loss

Davison was the 78-63 winner over Mt. Pleasant when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Davison Cardinals fell 52-45 to the Mt. Pleasant Oilers on Friday.

Davison's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Mt. Pleasant, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Davison will take on Powers Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Powers Catholic knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 12 contests -- so hopefully Davison likes a good challenge. As for Mt. Pleasant, they will face off against Gaylord at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
