Basketball Recap: Clarenceville Trojans vs. Lutheran Warriors
Clarenceville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 57-56 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lutheran Warriors. The Trojans were up 28-10 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.
Jayden Means had an outrageously good game for Lutheran as he went 6-for-10 on his way to 22 points and four steals. The dominant performance gave Means a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nathan Yakobe, who posted 13 points and five rebounds.
Clarenceville's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Lutheran, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-14.
Coincidentally, Clarenceville and Lutheran will both be playing Novi Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Clarenceville will host Novi Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lutheran will host them at 7:00 p.m. on February 18th.
