Football Game Preview: Camas Valley vs. Days Creek

Days Creek may have come out ahead in their last contest, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Saturday they take on Camas Valley at 1:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Days Creek and Camas Valley will really light up the scoreboard.

Days Creek put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season last Friday. They were the clear victor by a 44-12 margin over Butte Falls/Crater Lake. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 36-0.

Meanwhile, Camas Valley were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. Everything came up roses for them against Glendale as the squad secured a 48-8 victory. The success made it back-to-back wins for Camas Valley.

Their wins bumped Days Creek to 3-1 and Camas Valley to 2-1. In their win, Days Creek relied heavily on junior Gerrit Wentland, who punched in 3 rushing TDs and threw 3 TDs. Camas Valley will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
