Basketball Recap: Mitchell's Win Ends Eight-Game Losing Streak at Home

A well-balanced attack led Mitchell over Alliance in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. The Mitchell Tigers blew past the Alliance Bulldogs 38-15. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

Mitchell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sophia Pitts, who posted six points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reese Sauer, who put up seven points and seven rebounds.

Mitchell was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alliance only posted three assists.

Mitchell's victory ended an eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Alliance, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Mitchell wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 51-33 loss against Lingle-Fort Laramie on the 12th. As for Alliance, they will venture away from home to challenge North Platte at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
