Baseball Recap: Chapel Hill Takes a Loss

Chapel Hill managed to slip by Carthage the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Chapel Hill lost 12-2 to Carthage on Friday. Chapel Hill's loss continues a trend for the team, making it six in a row.

Trevor Brooks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in February.

Chapel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14-1. As for Carthage, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Chapel Hill will take on rival Henderson at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carthage is set to square off against their familiar foe Gilmer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
