Baseball Recap: Lindsay Comes Up Short

Lindsay fell victim to Newcastle and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Racers. The Leopards haven't had much luck with the Racers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Lindsay's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Newcastle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-2 record this season.

Lindsay and Newcastle should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Leopards will challenge Casady at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (190 vs. 928). Meanwhile, Newcastle (ranked second) will meet Douglass (ranked 363rd) at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in the Racers' favor as the team sits on 12 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Trojans have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
