Baseball Game Preview: Sunset Bison vs. Molina Jaguars

For the second straight game, Sunset will face off against Molina. The Bison will venture away from home to face off against the Jaguars at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Sunset has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Sunset will bounce into Friday's game after beating Molina, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. The Bison had just enough and edged out the Jaguars 3-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since March 1st.

Edwin Chavez made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

Chavez wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Pablo Benitez, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That's the most hits Benitez has posted since back in March.

Sunset's record is now 14-10. As for Molina, they now have a losing record of 9-10.
