Basketball Recap: Sonora Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Sonora lost to Forsan back in December of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Sonora Broncos managed a 51-47 win over the Forsan Buffaloes. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Broncos.

It was another big night for Evan Arredondo, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Juan Castillo was another key player, going 6 of 12 en route to 12 points and seven boards.

Sonora smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive matches.

Sonora's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 13-13. As for Forsan, they dropped their record down to 16-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Sonora will venture away from home to take on Ozona at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Forsan, they will host Eldorado at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Forsan is facing Eldorado at the right time seeing as Eldorado is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
