Softball Recap: Wolfson Victorious

It's playoff time, and Wolfson had no trouble coming through when it counted. They won by a run and slipped past the Bishop Kenny Crusaders 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-5 back in March.

The result came thanks to Madison Saling's shutout, as she gave up just four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Wolfson's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Peyton Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

The win made it two in a row for Wolfson and bumps their season record up to 12-8. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Bishop Kenny, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Wolfson nor Bishop Kenny have any future games scheduled.
