Basketball Recap: Northwestern Area Comes Up Short

Northwestern Area and Waubay/Summit squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Northwestern Area had to settle for second. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Waubay/Summit Mustangs. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Northwestern Area's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Waubay/Summit, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-7.

Northwestern Area does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Waubay/Summit, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Aberdeen Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
