Softball Recap: Coronado Comes Up Short

Coronado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They lost 17-0 to the Eastwood Troopers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Troopers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 two weeks ago.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 9-23. As for Eastwood, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 19 of their last 22 matches. That lines up perfectly with their 28-4-1 record this season.

Coronado will challenge Socorro at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something the Thunderbirds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eastwood, they will host Montwood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Troopers 4.1, the Rams 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
