Recap: Connersville Spartans vs. Franklin County Wildcats

On Friday, the Connersville Spartans's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 36-27 win over Franklin County. This was payback for Connersville, who suffered a 57-43 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Franklin County still got an impressive performance from Nicole Mears, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 51.9% of Franklin County's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Connersville's win bumped their record up to 11-8. As for Franklin County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Connersville will square off against Pendleton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
