Basketball Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

After flying high against LEE last Friday, Clark came back down to earth. The Clark Cougars took a 66-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Churchill Chargers on Tuesday. While the Cougars didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Chargers 15-10 in the first quarter.

Despite the loss, Clark still got an impressive performance from Jaden Flemons, who almost dropped a double-double on 27 points and nine boards. That's the most boards Flemons has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kristian Burgan, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 11 points.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 14-6. As for Churchill, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season.

Clark has already played their next matchup, a 47-37 win against Madison on the 3rd. As for Churchill, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 57-44 loss against Brandeis on the 3rd.
