Basketball Recap: Cushing Comes Up Short

Cushing was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 39-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bristow Pirates. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 61-41 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Bristow found their leader in freshman Josie Morgan, who posted ten points and six boards. Another player making a difference was Melanie Kent, who earned five points and five rebounds.

Cushing's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Bristow, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Cushing will take on Kingfisher at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Bristow, they will challenge Sperry at 6:00 p.m. on January 14th.
