Basketball Recap: Lakeside Takes a Loss

Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Cornerstone Christian Warriors, falling 75-53.

Among those leading the charge was Joaquin Galindo, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Xander Parra, who posted 11 points.

Lakeside now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Cornerstone Christian, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeside will venture away from home to challenge Shiloh at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cornerstone Christian, they will take on Victoria East at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will be up against the Titans' rather soft defense (which has allowed 59 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
