Basketball Recap: Eunice Takes a Loss

Eunice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Washington-Marion Charging Indians, falling 57-8. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their loss to the Charging Indians from their previous meeting back in January of 2024.

Eunice's defeat dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Washington-Marion, with the win, they broke their 12-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-14.

Eunice and Washington-Marion could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Eunice (ranked 319th) will meet LaGrange (ranked 107th) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Washington-Marion will face off against Hamilton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday down 135 places (223 vs. 88).
