Labette County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They managed a 49-45 victory over the Burlington Wildcats. That's more bragging rights for the Grizzlies, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Labette County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Landry Obrien led the charge by going 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and six steals. The matchup was Obrien's third in a row with at least ten points. Amery Baker was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Burlington's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexa Splechter, who posted 15 points and three steals. Splechter is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Hattie Burgio, who had eight points in addition to ten boards and five steals.

Labette County pushed their record up to 10-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points per game. As for Burlington, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Labette County has already played their next contest, a 70-60 defeat against Silver Lake on the 25th. As for Burlington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 46-35 loss against Girard on the 25th.
