After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Greenville, the Powdersville Patriots were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Hillcrest a 3-0 shutout.
The victory got Powdersville back to even at 3-3-1. As for Hillcrest, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Powdersville will challenge Wren at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wren will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Powdersville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hillcrest, they will head out on the road to challenge Providence at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Providence's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
