Volleyball Recap: Shekinah Christian Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Shekinah Christian waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Tree of Life Christian Trojans 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

While Shekinah Christian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 26-24, 25-10.

Leading Shekinah Christian to victory were Eleyna Beachy and Haylee Beachy. Eleyna had 13 digs and two aces, while Haylee had 15 digs and three assists. Eleyna has been hot for a while, having also posted 15 or more assists the last 38 times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Shekinah Christian was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Shekinah Christian's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Tree of Life Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Shekinah Christian will square off against North Union at 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Elgin at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
