Preview: Seagoville Dragons vs. North Mesquite Stallions

Seagoville is 0-3 against North Mesquite since January of 2023 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Seagoville Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the North Mesquite Stallions at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Seagoville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.

Seagoville pushed their score all the way to 65, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Samuell 69-65. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (61), Seagoville still had to take the loss.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Adam West, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Gregory Fossett was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five steals.

Meanwhile, North Mesquite ended up a good deal behind Poteet on Friday and lost 64-46.

Like Seagoville, North Mesquite lost despite seeing results from several players. Jeremiah Grigsby led the charge by scoring 21 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Barnett, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds.

Seagoville's record now sits at 21-10. North Mesquite's record is now 16-13.

Seagoville couldn't quite finish off North Mesquite in their previous matchup back in January and fell 63-60. Can Seagoville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
