Christopher posted their closest win since August 31, 2024 on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out Thompsonville 2-1. This was payback for the Bearcats, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Christopher had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 25-15, 25-17.

The victory got Christopher back to even at 1-1. As for Thompsonville, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Coming up, Christopher will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Murphysboro at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Thompsonville, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Zeigler-Royalton on the 30th.
