Logan County was sadly handed a defeat on Tuesday, but Addison Cartas did her best to prevent it. Cartas wasn't messing around, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off six hits. The pitching appearance was her fifth straight with six or more strikeouts.

Coming up, Cartas and Logan County will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnson Central at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
