Basketball Recap: Clear Lake Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Carmen Evans and Kirsten Lippold

Clear Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 48-39 to the Clear Creek Wildcats. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-42 back in January.

Clear Lake's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Kirsten Lippold, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds, and Carmen Evans, who posted 11 points along with five boards and three steals. Evans is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played.

Clear Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 15-19. As for Clear Creek, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 25-6.

Clear Lake didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-38 loss against Clear Brook on the 1st. As for Clear Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 78-8 win against Brazoswood on the 1st.
