Volleyball Recap: Shepherd Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Shepherd lost against Hardin-Jefferson back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Pirates came up short against the Hawks, falling 3-0. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Despite the defeat, Shepherd saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Swayzie Nelson had nine digs and two assists.

Shepherd's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hardin-Jefferson, their win bumped their record up to 24-7.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Shepherd will take on rival Livingston at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hardin-Jefferson is set to face off against their familiar foe Liberty at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
