Volleyball Game Preview: LaVergne Wolverines vs. Smyrna Bulldogs

LaVergne hasn't had much luck against Smyrna recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Wolverines will challenge the Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m.

LaVergne came up short against Cookeville last Thursday, falling 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-7, 25-6, 25-17.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Smyrna, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Cane Ridge with a sharp 3-0 win on Wednesday. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Ravens recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Smyrna was: they took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-15, 25-10.

LaVergne's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Smyrna, their win bumped their record up to 11-13.

LaVergne might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Smyrna when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
