Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Comes Up Short

If Holy Cross was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Boone County last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Beechwood Tigers on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for the Indians in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost six in a row.

Maya Hayden paced Holy Cross' offense, picking up six kills. Hayden got some help from Lacey Hunt and her eight assists.

Holy Cross' defeat dropped their record down to 20-14. As for Beechwood, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 32-4.

Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Beechwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Notre Dame Academy on the 23rd.
