Football Recap: Bourgade Catholic Comes Up Short + How To Watch

If Bourgade Catholic was feeling good fresh off their 44-8 takedown of Kingman Academy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Golden Eagles were dealt a 57-6 defeat at the hands of the Camp Verde Cowboys on Friday. The matchup marked the Golden Eagles' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Eli Salas threw for 64 yards on eight of 24 attempts. Devin Lopez was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.

Justin Smith had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 100 yards and one touchdown on only 13 carries, while also picking up 81 receiving yards and one score for Camp Verde. Another big playmaker for the Cowboys was Nolan Hicks, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Bourgade Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Camp Verde, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Meanwhile, Camp Verde is set to take on their familiar foe Cortez at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Brayden Walsworth and Jamerrius Anthony.
